Victoria has been in the field of addiction and recovery since 1992, having received her first Masters and working in dual diagnosis treatment centers. After her daughter's critical illness was healed through a change in diet, her interest in food escalated. After completing a nutrition degree she combined her years as an addiction therapist and her passion for nutrition and creativity. She now consults at many treatment centers as well as one on one nutrition therapy with clients. She also is the nutrition therapist for partners for integrated cancer therapies. She provides nutrition information for patients fighting cancer and other diseases. She lives in the mountains of Arizona with her now very healthy daughter.

Dennetta Carmick’s drive for nutrition stems from her personal experiences as a registered nurse, mom and cancer survivor. Dennetta has been a registered nurse for over 23 years, practicing in Connecticut, Illinois and Arizona. She has worked in the areas of ICU surgical step-down, travel medicine, home health care and family practice with specialty clinics. Her dedication to proper nutrition arose with the birth of her first son who was diagnosed with kidney disease and is an organ transplant survivor.  Dennetta’s commitment to nutrition expanded after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011.  These personal and professional experiences have given her a firm understanding that proper nutrition plays a vital role in healing and a healthy lifestyle.  Working for Victoria at the Center for Addiction Nutrition, Dennetta is a compassionate and inspirational caregiver and educator who shares her love of food, cooking, and nutrition with her clients.
